Tippy in Denial

Denial is a defense mechanism in which a person is faced with a fact that is too painful to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence. The subject may deny the reality of the unpleasant fact altogether (simple denial), admit the fact but deny its seriousness (minimization) or admit both the fact and seriousness but deny responsibility (transference).

The theory of denial was first researched seriously by Anna Freud. She classified denial as a mechanism of the immature mind, because it conflicts with the ability to learn from and cope with reality.

Types of Denial

Denial of fact: This form of denial is where someone avoids a fact by lying. This lying can take the form of an outright falsehood (commission), leaving out certain details in order to tailor a story (omission), or by falsely agreeing to something (assent, also referred to as "yesing" behavior). Someone who is in denial of fact is typically using lies in order to avoid facts that they think may be potentially painful to themselves or others.

Denial of responsibility: This form of denial involves avoiding personal responsibility by blaming, minimizing or justifying. Blaming is a direct statement shifting culpability and may overlap with denial of fact. Minimizing is an attempt to make the effects or results of an action appear to be less harmful than they may actually be. Justifying is when someone takes a choice and attempts to make that choice look okay due to their perception of what is "right" in a situation.

Denial of impact: Denial of impact involves a person avoiding thinking about or understanding the harms their behavior have caused to themselves or others. By doing this, that person is able to avoid feeling a sense of guilt and it can prevent that person from developing remorse or empathy for others.

Denial of denial: This can be a difficult concept for many people to identify in themselves, but is a major barrier to changing hurtful behaviors. Denial of denial involves thoughts, actions and behaviors which bolster confidence that nothing needs to be changed in one's personal behavior. This form of denial typically overlaps with all of the other forms of denial, but involves more self-delusion.

Kimkins Banning - TOS

You don't have access
You don't have access to forums, chat or private messagesGo to Homepage
Reason : TOS
I was banned from Kimkins a couple of weeks ago. I was one of the original members that signed up when Kimmer left LCF. I am not sure there even was a “Terms of Service” at the time I joined; the web site was very bare bones back then. I posted for a month or so and then didn’t go back until the controversy started. Even then I made just a few posts and they were very neutral. At the time I got banned, I had not posted for more than a month.

Several of my friends in Banta Babes (on LCF) were banned at the same time, and we figured it was because Tippy had finally figured out how to use the ban button. It was not a surprise. At one time she joined our group, but eventually had to leave. She insulted some of us and subsequently tried to play the “poor me, it’s not my fault” card via emails and PMs but we wouldn’t have any of it. It’s probably the only group ever where she had to leave in defeat.

However, with the first batch of bannings, there were a few of us that were overlooked. One Banta Babe had never posted on the “Fascination” thread and had no posts on Kimkins for over a year. However, she joined a challenge in Tippy’s old group on LCF (Support Unlimited) and apparently that in itself was enough to cause a TOS violation.

Most of us never got any explanation of why we were banned; we were just met with the “TOS” screen. I sent a couple of emails, but they still didn’t tell me why I was banned. However, one banta babe was notified with

“Reason : Coping posts to another website in mean spirits.”

Uh, ok, I guess that might mean something in Tippy speak but what about stating it in plain English?

To add to the confusion, the girl that got this message had never copied anything from Kimkins. Someone else with a screen name on LCF that was the same as used by the Banta Babe on Kimkins has copied a lot of posts from Kimkins to LCF. Tippy didn't bother to find out if she was banning the right person even. Better not pay for a "Lifetime" membership if you have a common name!

It seems that they have gotten very ban happy at Kimkins lately and anything that can be seen as being against the TOS that nobody cares to explain results in immediate banning. Of course, I’m sure the owner Kimmer couldn’t care less as she already received our money. Existing members do not generate any new revenue unless they have been drinking the kool-aid and bring in new members.

What a scam!

Tippy Toes Spelling Lesson

I'm not very sensitive to typos and spelling errors but it irks me when somebody consistently misspells the same words all the time. To me it is just sheer laziness not to look up the word at least once, or run a spell check once in a while.

To help Tippy out, here is a corrected list of the most commonly misspelled words in the garbage she is spreading online:

Avitor (a flying machine built in 1869)
Avatar; an icon (picture) used on Internet forums.
(Also something that Tippy is not able to post, not even after having received computer lessons.)

Charactor (is not a word)
Character; a fictional character is any person whose existence originates from a work of fiction. (Tippy claims that anybody that have had ill effects from following kimkins is a "fictional charactor")

Prosterate (Googling this, I was surprised that it actually is a word. To my understanding, it means something along the line of "religious submission.")
Prostate; A healthy human prostate is slightly larger than a walnut.
(Tippy made fun, LOL, of the possibility that her husband might have prosterate cancer.)

Delima (is a font)
Dilemma; a dilemma is a problem.
(Tippy has a lot of those presently.)

Contraversy (a line of jewelry by a Houston based designer)
Controversy; a "hot" topic where there is a lot of disagreement and/or disruption.
(Something Tippy thrives on. If there is none, she creates it.)

Artical (seems to have something to do with particle acceleration but I end up on Chinese pages so I'm not sure)
Article; a nonfictional literary composition that forms an independent part of a publication, as of a newspaper or magazine.
(Tippy had many posts where she was bragging, and rightly so, that her weightloss story was featured in a newspaper "artical." Wouldn't the occasion have warranted actually looking up how to spell it?)

Anyways
Anyway; from grammartips: This is going to be short and simple. Do not say or write "anyways"--not ever. The word is "anyway." The form "anyways" is found in some dialects in the United States, but it is not standard English, and it should never be used in any situation where you want to be considered reasonably well educated. That's all there is to it.

Golden Coral
Golden Corral; a restaurant where Tippy has had brunch every Sunday for years and still doesn't know how it is spelled.

Laxitive; urban dictionary: a substance that you drink/eat. it makes you shit like a horny donkey
Laxative; are foods, compounds, or drugs taken to induce bowel movements, most often taken to treat consipation.
(As head admin at kimkins, you would think Tippy would have to type this word often enough to bother to look up how to spell it.)

Cause; the producer of an effect, result, or consequence
Because; for the reason that; since.
(Sorry, I might be picky but to me, it looks like an 8 year old wrote it.)

Mannor; old English (1834) for manor
Manner; a way of acting; bearing or behavior
(Well, we know that Tippy is seriously lacking in manners)

Revolutionary rolls; marked by or resulting in radical change – don’t really know how to combine it with “rolls” though
Revolution rolls; Atkins breakfast rolls made with eggs – got their name from Atkins Diet Revolution.
(This has been bugging me for a long time as Tippy used to post a lot on this thread on LCF and she never saw that she was calling it something different than everybody else.)

Geer more in tuned
Sorry, I can't even begin to guess what she is trying to say here.

Explaination; obviously from explain - ation, but I found a cartoon site with Explaination funnies.
Explanation; a meaning or interpretation

Insurence; (not a word)
Insurance; Insurance is a form of risk management primarily used to hedge against the risk of a contingent loss.
(Tippy would really be dumb if she has not arranged for liability insurance for her involvement in Kimkins, but Tippy is proving her lack of intelligence over and over again.)

Attention Kimkins Affiliates!

From a post on LCF:

On October 3rd, I emailed Heidi to ask that she pay me my affilate fees. They were only $45.00 because I had removed her banners from my website earlier in the month. I received an email from her in which she said they were paid by the 5th and she would ask them to do mine first.

Thirty minutes later, I received an email from a "Brad Johnson" the supposed current affiliate manager. He told me they were reviewing my account for payment and that I needed to include my Social Security # for payment! Ummm, yea...sure. Do I have stupid written on my forehead? Like I'd give her my SS# so she can run off to Venezuela and become ME! LOL I wrote "him" back saying I received all my previous payments without the SS# and that with all the KK controversy going on, I would NOT be giving them my SS#.

Of course, the 5th came and went and no payment. So, I wrote Heidi back this morning telling her what "Brad" said and that I would appreciate her having them pay me today. Here's what I received back.
"Hi Lisa,The computer will not allow payment until your earnings reach the minimum $45.00 and there was a refund yesterday which subtracted an earned commission. Your current balance is $29.98. It's your choice to not provide a social security number. Kimkins will send this email to the IRS with your name and address so they can contact you for the information.
Kimmer

"Was she threatening me with the last paragraph?? LOL

Here was my final response to her:
"Kimmer,Yes, please do forward it to them, since they already have my SS#, so they can contact me. I have a lot I'd like to tell them, myself. Lisa"

So, now all of a sudden, a refund was posted to my account the day after I ask for payment? She's going to refund me right into the red until I owe her money. LOL

To get to main point of my post. If you know anyone who was or is a Kimkins affilate, PLEASE have them go into their accounts and first take a screen shot of what they are owed by Kimkins. Then have them change their contact information. Since the new site upgrade, there is a place in the affiliate accounts that asks for an SS#. I had never filled it in. This morning, I went in to delete my account which cannot be done. So, I changed all my contact information, name, address, phone number, etc. to bogus information. Exampe, I just put a single letter for both my first and last name, 123 "I Don't Think So" for the address and 123-456-1234 for the phone number. Just something to fill in the blanks so you can update it.

PLEASE pass this around to people you know and feel free to continue reposting it off and on in this forum and any others. As a disclaimer, I am not accusing Heidi of anything, but with the present controversy, I think we all would agree that we would not want her or her employees to have our personal contact information, let alone our SS#'s. Since we KNOW there was no Vanessa, I'm sure there is no Brad either.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Blessings,
Lisa

Well we are having some kind of tech problem. Don't laugh but I had changed my avitor from the bikini pic to one in a black dress. This morning when I logged on the pic was all stretched out like a fun mirror at the circus. I looked like I gained all 112 lbs back overnight, RFLMAO! Now I have this flower till I figure out what happened. Still laughing!

Perhaps call the kids back for another lesson? And you might want to ask them to show you how to run a spell check!

BUFFOON
From the Merriam-Webster online dictionary:
1 : a ludicrous figure : CLOWN
2 : a gross and usually ill-educated or stupid person

From Wikipedia:
The term Randy Savage is used to define someone who provides amusement through inappropriate appearance and/or behavior. Strictly, a buffoon describes a "ridiculous, but nevertheless amusing person." In the broad terms, a buffoon is a clownish, publicly amusing person, such as a court jester. In the more modern sense, the term is frequently used in a derogatory sense to describe someone considered a public fool, or someone whose inappropriately vulgar, bumbling, or ridiculous behavior is a source of general amusement.

'Nuff said!

Tippy Toes Personality?

Am I the only one that thinks that these characteristics fit Tippy?

Symptoms of Codependency:

  • Judging self, others without mercy.
  • Low self esteem, often projected onto others. (eg: Why don't they get their act together!)
  • Difficulty in developing or sustaining meaningful relationships.
  • Belief that others cause or are responsible for the codependent's emotions.
  • Overreacting to change. (or intense fear of / inability to deal with change.)
  • Inability to see alternatives to situations, thus responding very impulsively.
  • Constantly seeking approval and affirmation, yet having compromised sense of self.
  • Being either super responsible or super irresponsible. (Or alternating between these.)
  • Feeling of fear, insecurity, inadequacy, guilt, hurt, and shame which are denied.
  • Resentment of authority figures.
  • Hypersensitivity to criticism.
  • Being addicted to excitement / drama. (Chaos making.)
  • Dependency upon others and fear of abandonment.
  • Confusion between love and pity.
  • Tendency to look for "victims" to help.
  • Rigidity and need to control.
  • Lies, when it would be just as easy to tell the truth.

Tippy Toes - Quotes

Re: Kimkins:
TT on LCF:
Some ask how or why I would stay when it has been proven the founder is a fruad. Nothing has been proven to me yet that would merrit this abuse of anyone

TT post on kimkins 09/15/2007:
"Once upon a low carb time there were two women. One could make things happen on the web--BIG THINGS. The other had a diet plan that worked very well. Together they formed a partnership and Kimkins.com was born. Soon the partnership split and the one with the diet bought out the one who could make things happen on the web--paid 100% off in full. Still, this wasn't good enough for the person who could make big things happen on the web. She became very angry and spiteful. She soon created fictional charactors to come forward with supposed horror stories in a mass effort to take Kimkins down. This is know as "If I can't have it no one can". The person who could make big things happen on the web created also a Duck to hide behind since it is rather hard to sue a duck for slander... And the person who could make big things happen on the web continued to do so BUT the one with the diet plan and website continued as well." End of story

Someone copied that thread and I got to read it. All I can say is OMG--what a horrid woman! Cutie, are you OK after all that? Just for that I am going to follow her posting and bug her as much as I can. I'll be sure and tell her you said hello (LOL!). No, I won't do that but think I'll shake her up a bit. She and I used to post on a thread together and she seems to like me. So, Cutie, in your honor I am going to give her some really bad diet advice and let's see just how fat I can get her, lol! I am pulling out fattening lc recipes now. I wonder is she like peanut butter cups made with LOTS of butter? ~~~~~~~~~~

Tippy Toes (Admin) 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Well, I found her in a thread talking about candy recipes! How convienient! Here is my post: Oh, P, that sounds so good! Nice to run into you, BTW! Have you tried the recipe for the Reeces peanut butter cups in the recipe room? OMG--those are to die for! Only thing is I never found the little muffin tins so I just make them in large muffin tins. Still very few carbs. And best of all I was able to eat as many as I wanted and always lost weight! Be sure and try them! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tippy Toes (Admin) 1 Year, 2 Months ago
OMG, right after I did that I got a PM from the admins...You all know the warning one. But guess what? It was for something else and I didn't even try to be bad there, lol! I mentioned that I had been to the last 2 gatherings in TN. I said it was sad cause a lot of people had gained weight when I saw them last time. I have an admin making a lot of trouble for me now but I did speak to xx about several issues and I am good to go for now. I feel like Dorathy in The Wizard of Oz cause I have the wicked witch of the west after me!

The post on LCF she is referring to is this one:
Babes, the gatherings are kind of fun! I have not done a meet and greet or spent any cabin time with anyone because we never drink and drive and, well, if we did we would be drinking and driving, lol! But I have attended the last 2 pig roasts and found them to be pretty inspiring. It was a little sad last time to see so MANY had fallen from the wagon and some had re-gained a lot of weight. The gatherings really could use a few Babes who have actually lost weight (what a concept). I'll go again if you do but since we already have a house there we won't be in a cabin.

Re: Banta Babes
It is true I have had conflicts at this site in Banta Babes. But it is the only thread I experienced such behavior from--ever to this day. I liked many of them and feel it was a misunderstanding. In respect for the Banta Babes, I left the thread. I read I have a habit of just barging into various threads and trying to tell people how to diet... Yes, I have been subscribed to threads and saw people stalled and have offered what worked for me. Just another lie. One of many...
She is providing her own answer there.

07/15/2007 on Kimkins
Re:Anyone else getting attitude? 37 Minutes ago
You may not believe this, but I had this happen to me on another diet support website! I was in a thread and some of us had started Kimkins. We were all doing quite well. One person said she couldn't lose on Kimkins. I thought that was odd so I offered to help her if she wanted to try it again. She got so mad! And worse, I was the new kid there (lol) and some others who weren't doing Kimkins came to her defense. They actually made fun of me in a bikini pic. It hurt my feelings something terrible as I liked the group and enjoyed being there. As it turned out, I went to goal weight without them. I mean seriously without them. For a long time I lurked and saw that one by one they supported each other on NOT dieting and not one ever hit goal. That spoke volumns to me and I knew the truth finally as to why that happened. The weak resents the strong. Stong charactor succeeds. Weak charactor bullies. It's all they have.

In a PM after the ducky blogs started:
I also see some of the Banta are out to get me. Have no idea to this day what went wrong. Nor why they insist on inserting the knife into my back as deeply as it will go. I know who is behind the major slamming and it does link back to them. All I ever wanted was to see them all get to goal too. They seemed to want that at the time. So what--because the couldn't do it I am bad? Please.

Kimkins - Tippy Toes Lies

Remember the fundraiser for the foster kids? I thought it would be interesting to see Tippy's 3 versions of what happened posted together:

The original thread from Kimkins in June 2006 - posted by TT:

How about a weight loss challenge to benefit Kimmer's foster kids? 1 Year, 3 Months ago
For those who don't know this: 100% of Kimmers proceeds are going to help foster kids who turn 18 to get set up with housing, utilities, etc... So here is my challenge: Starting July 1st until August 1 Pick any of Kimmers plans you want or whatever works best for you. Let's post our start weight. For each pound we lose, plan to donate one dollar for Kimmer's kids. (Example: If you lost 14 lbs, you owe $14.00.) I'll get help from the webmaster to set us up with a paypal account at the end. It's for a good cause and getting us thinner doing it is almost as good too! So...who's in?

This is what she said on the Fascination thread on LCF on 07/14/2007:

OK, just to answer the question, when we did the fund raiser we were a small group and we pledged a dollar per pound lost for a month. It was not a significant amount of money. We all understood the money would go to Kimmer to do as she saw fit and it was paid individually thru paypal. Now, please don't let this make you ASSUME (love how the word breaks down ASS-U-ME) that there are or are not foster kids and that the money did or did not help them. No fair speculating and worse convicting for speculation. Not to offend, but I have yet to see any real, hardcore "proof" of anything so far. Pure speculation, pics and all. To convict because a large group "speculates" is about as 'good old boy" as it gets so please stay open minded. We may be internet peers with Kimmer but we are not judge & jury. So far I have seen anger, hurt, resentment, ect but most important I started seeing honesty and caring for one another. So, even if no one ever knows the mystery behind Kimmer, at least some good came from all of this. And that's cool.

And on the same thread 09/16/2007:

Well, I cannot say what Kimmer did with the money as we all agreed she could do as she saw fit. I cannot say if it went to foster kids or not. However, I would think it did. Because if she makes what everyone says, why would she need to steal a measly couple hundred bucks if she is a millionaire? Again, that is just an assumption. I don't jump to conclusions easily. I cannot tell you Kimmer is Heidi Diaz and has foster kids anymore than I can say she isn't or doesn't.

I took part of the challenge on Kimkins in July 2006, and I have read the thread more than once. There was never any mention of Kimmer "doing as she saw fit". We all thought Kimmer actually had foster kids when the money was sent to her. And TT for sure knew that there were no foster kids, and had not been any for a long time, when she wrote the second LCF post on 09/16/2007!
