Kimkins during Pregnancy

This was posted on Kimkins on June 20th:

Pregnant
Has anyone ever done kimkins while pregnant? This is my third child and I really don't want to gain weight I am already heavy and I would actually like to lose a little weight. Please let me know....

Up to today (June 28) no Admin has bothered to give an answer.

Kimmer has posted on other places on the board. Singingass has posted on other places on the board. Gary is missing.

Kimkins is a starvation diet and should not be used by anybody. But an unborn child? I am speechless.

From Women's Health:

Make sure not to restrict your diet during pregnancy either. If you do, your unborn baby might not get the right amounts of protein, vitamins, and minerals. Low-calorie diets can break down a pregnant woman's stored fat. This can lead to the production of substances called ketones. Ketones can be found in the mother's blood and urine and are a sign of starvation. Constant production of ketones can result in a mentally retarded child.

You might also want to see what Medusa has to say about it. And while you are at her site, look at some of her anorexia posts. Would you do this to an unborn child?

I'm not surprised by this at all. IMO it's been shown over and over again that the main concern at Kimkins is financial.

Despite Heidi Diaz saying "some" are not allowed on her site there was a pregnant woman, a teenager, and people with obvious EDs there when I was a member.

Does she show concern for the welfare, health, or safety of her members? Let's see ... If someone's condition, age, or health becomes an issue they are banned. If someone questions the plan, they are banned. If someone states health issues, banned. If someone questions anything seen as trouble ... B A N N E D. It's the answer to everything there.

Hopefully, if enough attention is drawn to this woman who is pregnant perhaps HD will step in to save her own behind from legal fall-out and in the process save this woman by either banning her or advising her against doing KK.

Here's to hoping.

{{Mariasol & Mrs.M}} Brava for speaking out about this. What heartache, to think of these dear little innocent ones, being starved.

Is there any justice in this world? Will Heidi and SL be stopped from inflicting their evil upon yet more victims?
