Magic Diet

I earlier made a post about the Magic Chicken Diet using the Day 1 menu. I thought I would revisit the subject, now choosing a day from the 2nd week's "modified" sample menu.

While I don't understand why anyone would use canned chicken for anything, this is what was recommended in the menu. That day, the food was:

Breakfast: 1 scrambled egg, 2 slices bacon
Snack: 1/2 grapefruit
Lunch: Can of chicken, celery stalk
Snack: Diet jello
Dinner: Grilled lean pork chop, green beans, small salad
Snack: Sugar free Popsicle

Adding this up, I get a total of 468 calories; 16 grams fat, 26 grams carbs, 54 grams protein.

In what way is this diet better than Kimkins?

Only 468 calories??!! That is horrific. Just another VLCD like Kimkins but wearing a chicken suit. The only magic with this diet is how fast you'll go poof if you follow it.

Thanks, Mariasol, for doing the math on a typical MCD daily menu.

It certainly gives one pause, not to mention a queasy stomach.

Just looking at those cans of chicken turns my stomach! Those calories are probably even lower than Kimkins on some days, well, at least now that they are hiding the PBTP info in e-mails only! Both of these diets, Kimkins & MCD are unhealthy and will Kill you!!

Hopefully this woman isn't as good at marketing! Does anyone know if she has any members yet?

Math is truth. Exactly why are people defending this diet & the people who are promoting it?

Where are the long term studies?

SNATT?

It's awful. Does this lady eat this way for maintenance?

Considering the Kimkins diet? Read this first: Kimkins Diet Scam Update.

Cindy - In a comment on my blog, Bonnie claimed that they have reached 200 members, but the website still states that the introduction price $69.95 is valid for the first 200 members, so who knows? There is no marketing of this company on the internet that I have found. Perhaps Bonnie just get members from her candle route.

Larry - Long term? I would like to know as well. Bonnie has been at goal for 4 months and I wonder if she has to continue to eat canned chicken to maintain her loss. I just can't see canned chicken as "healthy" food, short term or long term.

HOW can ANYONE defend 468 calories a day? Kimkins & MCD = Dangerous!!
Two peas in a pod, in my book.
200 members X $69.95 = $13,990
200 members is still too many for this scary diet. JMHO

The "Tim Worstall Tabloid Edition" says:

November 12, 2007
Kimkins
Kimkins, or the Kimkins diet has been shown up to be just another scam on the unsuspecting.

Heidi "Kimmer" Diaz, the founder of the Kimkin's diet - a low carb, low calorie diet - is schedule to appear in a Southern California court on Monday, November 12th, 2007. 11 former users of her Kimkins diet program filed a complaint against her one week ago, claiming fraud, false advertising, and unjust enrichment.
The Kimkin's scandal began when Woman's World, a popular women's magazine featured an article on the Kimkin's diet.

Ms Diaz, who was claiming to have lost 198 pounds in 11 months using her diet plan, refused to meet with the magazine in person, instead corresponding through email. She went so far as to send the magazine before and after pictures that looked nothing alike, which makes sense when people found out that the before pictures were Ms. Diaz, however the after pictures were taken from a Russian 'mail-order' bride web site.

The kimkins diet advised eating just 500 calories a day. That less than concentration camp victims were getting:

Kimkins diet followers reported hair loss, menstrual cessation, irregualr heartbeat, fainting spells, and liver damage from the starvation diet scam.

No damn wonder! Let's hope she's jailed where she can get a decent diet!

Kat - Thank you for that information. It gives a very good summary of the Kimkins scam.

The thing is, Kimmer knows the Kimkins diet is a starvation diet. A concentration camp diet. She intentionally inflicts it upon people because she's a sadist, pure and simple. The money yeah but one thing Kimmer likes about the money is, it enables her to continue being sadistic to thousands of people via the internet.

What about the Chicken lady? She's gotta know by now the MCD is a starvation diet. Why is she inflicting it upon people? Is the Chicken lady a sadist too? Or is she just greedy, too greedy to care about the potential dangers to her customers?
